PRIVACY POLICY

Who we are
Eco Cleaning London (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
Eco Cleaning London is a trading name of Eco London Cleaning Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 14621515, with its registered office at 13 Caroline Close, London N10 1DT.
For anything to do with your information, write to info@eco-cleaning-london.co.uk or call +442045770127, 9am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what we collect when you use this website or book a clean with us, why we collect it, who else sees it and what you can ask us to do with it. It sits alongside our terms and conditions, which govern the cleaning work itself.
It does not cover other companies’ websites, including any we link to. If you follow a link away from this site, that company’s own policy applies.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to quote for your work, carry it out and stay in touch with you about it. There are two places on this site where you can give it to us.
The quote calculator. The service you choose, how often you want it, the rooms in your property and how many of each, any extras you add, the estimate we produce, your preferred and alternative dates and times, and your name, email address, phone number, address and postcode. It also records the answers to three practical questions: whether you need us to bring a vacuum cleaner, whether you will be able to check the work at the end, and whether there are pets in the property.
The contact form. Your name, an email address or phone number, the service you are asking about, and your message.
When we work with you. Anything you tell us about getting into the property and looking after it — access and key arrangements, alarm instructions, parking, and notes about surfaces or rooms that need particular care. We also keep the ordinary records of a booking: what was done, when, what was paid and any correspondence between us.
You do not have to give us any of this, but without it we cannot quote for a clean or carry one out.
What we do not collect
This site carries no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not build a profile of you, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not know who is reading this page.
We never ask for card details on this site. Payment is by bank transfer or cash after the clean, as set out in section 9 below and in our terms.
We do not collect special category data — health, beliefs, and so on. If you choose to tell us something of that kind because it affects the clean, for example an allergy that rules out a product, we use it only for that purpose.
Why we use it, and on what basis
To quote and to carry out the work. Preparing your estimate, confirming the booking, getting our team to the right address at the right time and invoicing you afterwards. The lawful basis is performance of a contract with you, or taking steps at your request before entering into one.
To answer you. Replying to an enquiry, a question or a complaint. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
To run the business properly. Keeping accounting records, dealing with an insurance claim or a dispute, and improving how we work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interests, or a legal obligation where one applies.
We do not use your information to make any decision about you by automated means.
Marketing
We do not sell your information, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their marketing.
Now and then — rarely more than a couple of times a year — we may email customers about offers or news related to our cleaning services. We only do this if you have booked with us or asked us for a quote, and only about services like the ones you enquired about.
You can say no at any time: every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or you can simply reply, or write to info@eco-cleaning-london.co.uk, and we will stop. Saying no makes no difference to your bookings or the emails we send about them.
Cookies and browser storage
This website sets no cookies. That is why you have never seen a cookie banner here — there is nothing to consent to.
One thing is stored in your browser. When you enter a postcode on the home page, it is held in your browser’s session storage under the name ecl:postcode so that the quote calculator does not have to ask you for it a second time. It is read once, deleted immediately afterwards, and never leaves your device except as part of a quote you choose to send us. Closing the tab clears it in any case.
Who else sees it
Our cleaners. The team attending your property are given what they need to do the job: the address, the time, access arrangements and any notes about the property. They are not given anything else.
Web3Forms. Both forms on this site are delivered to our inbox by Web3Forms, a form-delivery service. What you type into a form passes through them on its way to us. They process it on our behalf in order to deliver it.
Google Fonts. The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No form data is involved.
Beyond that we share your information only where we have to: with our insurer if there is a claim, with our accountant, or with a public authority where the law requires it.
Payment information
Payment is by bank transfer or in cash after the clean. We do not take card payments on this site and we hold no card numbers.
Where you pay by bank transfer, the record of that payment appears on our bank statement in the ordinary way and is kept with our accounting records.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not turn into bookings for 12 months.
Where you become a customer we keep your booking records for six years after your last booking. Records that form part of our accounts are kept for six years after the end of the accounting period they relate to, because HMRC requires it.
After that we delete what we hold, or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.
Keeping it safe
Your information is held in our email and business systems, protected by access controls and passwords, and is available only to the people who need it to do their work.
This site is served over an encrypted connection, so anything you type into a form is encrypted in transit.
Our suppliers may store information outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on the transfer safeguards permitted by UK data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete what we hold, where we have no continuing reason to keep it;
- stop or restrict what we are doing with it;
- hand it to you, or to someone else, in a portable form;
- stop relying on legitimate interests, where you object to that use.
Email info@eco-cleaning-london.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we hand anything over.
If you are unhappy
Tell us first — most things are quickest to fix directly. If we cannot put it right, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK regulator for data protection.
The ICO can be reached at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page tells you when the current version took effect, and the version published here is always the one that applies.
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know what we hold about you — email us or call +442045770127, 9am to 8pm, seven days a week.
